Listening to music on your phone is a great way to get focused on work or just to pass the time.
All of the top music streaming apps these days require users to pay monthly subscription fees just for you to have the ability to choose your own song.
How annoying, right?
But then you have Youtube, an app full of the world’s top songs, all available to you for free. And Youtube is great, but we still have one problem:
Youtube doesn’t allow users to stream videos on the app while the app isn’t playing on your screen unless you’re subscribed to with a premium Youtube account.
However, thankfully, there’s a way around this situation — and it’s free.
Using YouTube to MP3 converter websites, you can download your favorite songs and podcasts right off of YouTube to download directly to your phone.
In this tutorial, we’ll be going over how you can download your favorite songs from Youtube and listen to them on your Android device for free.
Step #1) Grab the video link from YouTube.
Feel free to use any MP3 Converter you wish, but in this guide, we’ll be using BigConverter.
First, you have to look up and select the video you want to download. This method will work with any song or video on YouTube. Once on the Youtube video page, locate the “Share” button.
Press the “Share” button, and you should get a pop-up similar to this. From there, select the “Copy” button. It’s that easy — you just completed the first step!
Step #2) Paste the Youtube link into the converter.
Now that you have your YouTube link, navigate to BigConverter.com in your browser to begin your conversion.
Paste the YouTube link into the box given and click convert. A second advertisement tab will open when you click convert, press the “X” button to close it.
After that, you’ll see this page where you can see the progress of your conversion. Now you wait.
Step #3) Download your MP3 file.
Once finished, the site will give you a thumbs up, another advertisement, and automatically download your converted video.
Step #4) Use a free Android MP3 player to play your songs
For this article, we’ll be using Audify Music Player, but you can choose whatever player you prefer. Most free Android MP3 players will work in a similar fashion.
You can head into the play store and search “free mp3 player” or “music player” to find the MP3 player that best works for you.
Find one you like and hit that install button. For this tutorial, we’ll be using Audigy, as mentioned before.
Once you download the MP3 player, open the app, and you’ll end up on this screen where you can see a couple of categories.
The app automatically detects audio files, and if you select “Songs,” it will show all the songs you have downloaded.
From there, you can find your song and hit play!
